Bravo Academy for the Performing Arts in associated with Bain & Bernard presents Crack of Doom as part of the Toronto Fringe Collective this year and digital excerpts are available TODAY through July 6.

I wrote this show in 2018 with my old pal Matt Bernard (Toronto Fringe Festival: Romeo & Juliet Chainsaw Massacre) as part of Bravo’s New Music Theatre Intensive program under the leadership of Melissa Bencic and since then, the show has been produced at Yellow Door Theatre and at Eden High School. We’ve been so lucky to be able to see different casts interpret the piece, and this year, we decided to team up with Bravo again to produce a new draft of the show at the Fringe.

In Crack of Doom, it has been reported that a giant meteor is heading towards Earth and will strike in 48 hours. When the students and staff at Harrington High School receive the terrible news, they are forced to face the reality that their time on this earth is ending. Unless, of course, it all turns out to be a hoax.

Two musical numbers from Crack of Doom ( “Inside” and “Love Pentagon” ) will be available for on-demand streaming from July 4-6 as part of the Fringe Collective, a digital arts festival presented by the Toronto Fringe Festival. Passes are available for purchase from https://fringetoronto.com/collective/about
